Weed Mapping

Weeds can be located and the area of the infestation measured using attributes peculiar to that plant.

Weed plants are sometimes very vigourous, and can be detected using near infra-red imagery because their vigour is greater than native plants in the same area. Other plants have stages in their life cycle which casue them to be less vigourous. They may have leaves that lose their chlorophyll in a season, and go yellow. Others have very specific habitats, perhaps being only found adjacent to streams, or perhaps in coastal estuaries.

We can use our GIS capabilities and your knowledge of the habits and life-cycles of your target pest plant to focus our image capture on the optimal sites for weeds, and produce maps of weed infestations.
